Mexico 66 lace-up: the original

Designed in 1966, worn at the 1968 Olympics, the first shoe with the Onitsuka Tiger stripes. Thin rubber sole, suede toe cap and heel, padded collar, heel flap, spare laces in the box. It is the version with the most colorways (35 at OG Store) and the one to buy if you want the shoe people picture when they hear the name.

Mexico 66 TGRS: the buckle Mary Jane

The TGRS keeps the sole, the stripes and the toe cap and replaces the laces with two buckle straps across the instep. It reads dressier and more feminine, and it is sold in women's sizes. The straps are adjustable, so a slightly wider foot is comfortable. We carry the full official line-up of 18 colorways: leather builds like Black/Cream, Black/Black, Cream/Peacoat and Yellow/Black, metallics in silver, gunmetal, red, pink and champagne, glitter in black and pink, and sheer lace in beige, grey and black.

Mexico 66 Slip-On: the same shape, no laces

The Slip-On has the Mexico 66 silhouette with elastic gores at the sides instead of laces. It is snug the first week and then molds to the foot.
